The HBCU Portal is a digital database that connects employers with talented HBCU students. We led the development of a user-friendly website that allows students and prospective applicants to engage with recruiters and ambassadors directly.

Our mission was to create a centralized hub where employers could efficiently search, recruit, and evaluate HBCU students to improve access to career opportunities and boost student employability.
Solution
I developed a streamlined platform that served as a one-stop resource for both students and recruiters. Employers could search a vetted database of HBCU students, while also hosting workshops and virtual sessions to promote their companies.
Impact
The redesign delivered a vastly improved user experience for both students and employers. With clearer pathways, modern visuals, and a structured content system, the portal finally aligned with the organization’s mission. The social campaign further amplified reach and positioned the portal as a credible recruitment resource for the HBCU community.
Social Media Campaign
